Blogging From the Start: Ways to Express information freely to the Public
Blogging is a place for people all across the world to communicate how they are feeling and the opportunity to provide all sorts of information for others to see at the same time completely free of charge. Exploring this network seemed to be very simple and clear because you were able to express and research things that really interested you as an individual. You are allowed to explore the many options and opinions of what other organizations, business, places and people are constantly posting daily. There are a variety of topics that users tend to blog about which are quite interesting because you are able to find educational topics, healthy food site info, news, and interactions from bloggers all across the world communicating.
According to the article 10 tips for a blogger to successfully
start a blog it stated to “find your goals” which basically means know your
strategy and plan of operation that you are going to execute before you start a
blog. Determining whether your goals are long-term or short-term are extremely
important and makes it a lot easier to accomplish your tasks successfully. I
think when you are a blogger you have to think outside of the box and be
creative with your ideas to keep your audience interested in what you are
saying. Blogger sites are very beneficial for health organizations and non-
profit organizations to take advantage of because it a great resource for media
exposure towards organizations.
Even a non-profit organizations benefits greatly
from using a blog because they are able to create several blog components that
include: posting photos, updates, news, videos, and etc that will constantly
keep their followers informed about what they are doing. According to the mashable
article, it states that non-profit organizations are turning their blog sites
and websites into social tools that is bringing awareness to people across the
world about violence and various crimes that are occurring. I thought it was
quite interesting that organizations are able to list various reports and
interactive maps of where attacks have taken place so that people in those
communities can be more cautious and protect themselves in a better way.
Organizations are basically able to have their own news reporting station and
data in form of a blog totally free instead of having to pay for advertisements
which is pretty beneficial for their viewers.
Meanwhile, I believe Health Organizations also really
benefit from blogging tremendously because they are able to interact with
current patients and draw potential patients in that are allowed to view their
page directly from home locations. Organizations are able to answer questions
for their viewers and questions are able to be asked about any health issues a
person may have. The most dynamic impact of using a social media site is it
allows you to publicize and broadcast your organizations health information to
so many people both to improve and benefit their health.
One of the health organizations that had a blog that
really stood out to me was American Red Cross of Central and Western Oklahoma.
These blogs were very heart filled because they displayed various volunteers
from different places going to help others in their times of need after an
Oklahoma tornado and flooding that occurred. There were workers from the Red
Cross who were helping the elderly fill out paperwork for qualifications of
their needs, providing food , clean water, cleaning kits, supplies, and even
health services to people who needed it. It really showed that American Red
Cross really cares and main goal in life is to help others in need and be their
lending hand when no one else can. There were also stories told about the Red
Cross partnering with Multi Agency Resource Center in El Reno to provide
especially mothers and children with diapers, water and the necessary hygiene
supplies for survival to help them cope with living life after the disaster.
This blog simply showed people that no matter what storm you are taken through
in life and if you lose everything you got, remember the Red Cross will always
be there to help you in your time of need no matter the circumstances.

I never would have imagined the many possibilities
that you are able to discover through blogging and how beneficial it can be to
finding new information until I continued to research even more. Being that I have blogged before I have some
experience on what to do, but the more and more I use it on a daily basis I
find new research daily. It is actually pretty exciting because the blogs
posted are very clear and direct toward viewers and there is always something
new and different to learn upon clicking a site. I enjoy the fact that blogging
is free expression, communication, and a beneficial resource for others because
you are taking what you have and sharing it with a world of people daily for a
better purpose.
